DHAKA: Defending champions Bangladesh started their opening match of SAFF Under-15 campaign by crushing Bhutan by 5-2 goals.
The matched was played at Kalyani Stadium in the Nadia district of West Bengal in India on Friday (August 23).
Forward Al Mirad netted the first goal at the 15 the minutes of the match but Bhutan defender Phub Dorji equalized it two minutes later.
Al Mirad scored twice for Bangladesh while Md Al Amin Rahman, Md Emon Islam Babu and Shuvo Sarkar scored each.
Bangladesh will play against Sri Lanka in their 2nd match on August 25.
