DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced the name of Tamim Iqbal as new captain of the Bangladesh one-day cricket team. 

BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon made the disclosure while talking to journalists after a meeting at the Board office in the capital. 

The BCB made the decision as Mashrafe Bin Mortaza had formally stepped down from the ODI captaincy.
