Dream 11 IPL 2020, 29th Match
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Played at DSC, Dubai on 13 October, 2020
Brief Scorecard:

CSK 167/6 (SR Watson 42, AT Rayadu 41, SM Curran 31, RA Jadeja 25*, MS Dhoni 21, Sandeep Sharma 2/19, KA Ahmed 2/45, T Natarajan 2/41) beat SRH 147/8 (KS Williamson 57, JM Bairstow 23, KV Sharma 2/37, DV Bravo 2/25) by 20 Runs.

On a slow sluggish Dubai wicket getting slower as the match progressed CSK choked SRH in their chase for 168 for winning the first match of round two of IPL 2020. CSK opting to bat first struggled all the way to post a moderate 167/6. SRH in their response found it extremely difficult. They could reach 147/8 mainly due to a stubborn innings of 57 by Kiwi captain Ken Williamson. Hope CSK got back into winning momentum and would no longer to chase and win matches within their reach.

CSK opting to bat lost Protean blaster Faf du Plessis pretty early. Sam Curran was striking the ball till he also left scoring 31. Watson (42) and Rayadu (41) combined together to a very useful 3rd wicket partnership 81 for laying a solid foundation. But playing strokes on a slow wicket was not at all easy. MS Dhoni (21) got a start but failed to get going. Jadeja with some hefty blows scoring unbeaten 25 gave some credibility to the score of 167/6. Shandeep Sharma (2/19), KA Ahmed (2/45 ) and T Natarajan ( 2/41) did not let it easy for CSK at all.

But for a change on the day CSK appeared more resolve and hungry. Their bowlers bowled with purpose and fielders ran for everything. Warner was removed early. Bairstow (23) got a start but could not carry on. Wickets kept tumbling. Only Williamson looked in his element. But he is not a blaster. His 39 balls 57 could not keep the sun shining for the Sunrisers as none other could stay with him for challenging the target. SRH could go as far as 147/8. KV Shrama (2/37) and BV Bravo (2/25) were the successful bowlers of CSK.

This can be the turning around for CSK. But much will depend on how MS Dhoni, Barvo and Jadeja finish the innings as wickets at all venues have considerably slowed down.
