Some strategic mistakes couple with poor luck caused Bangladesh losing the match from the winning position against Sri Lanka. Today the injured tigers face English Lions in a match that brings into memory of Bangladesh beating England at Adelaide in 2015 and at Chittagong in 2011 ICC ODI World Cup. 

The teams incidentally did not meet each other in T20 International. England according to many is considered among the favorites of this years T20 World cup. They trounced West Indies in the first match through Adil Rashid, Moeen Ali and Tymal Mills.  Bangladesh plays spin much better and on slow Abu Dhavi wicket would suit Shakib, Nasum, Mehedi and Mustafiz. Like injured tigers Bangladesh must play fearless cricket. Whatever be the present state of the two teams Bangladesh definitely has the potential to hurt English lions and stand on the way of England advancing to the semifinals. 

The key to success would be Naim and Liton giving an aggressive start. Shakib playing in his usual vein and Mushfique rediscovering his brilliant best would lead Bangladesh producing challenging score. Mahmudullah, Sohan and Afif can consolidate good start if they can bat without pressure.  That is why given opportunity Bangladesh must bat first and produce 170 plus score. This English attack must not be a big worry for Bangladesh on Abu Dhavi wicket. Would rather suggest playing Soumya and use his slow medium pace as an added option in the middle overs. Consideration can be given to Soumya opening with Naim and Liton playing at six. In that case Bangladesh may not require Nasum on the day as Mahmudullah can bowl two overs. 

Mahmudullah must use Shakib and Mustafiz smartly. Bangladesh must plan bowling strategy in first power play and during the death overs. Shakib and Mustafiz should be ideal options at death. But if Shakib strikes early he should bowl two overs at least in the start alongside Taskin.

English bowling was not really tested as West Indies succumbed to their own follies. English spinners must not pose that much of a threat against Bangladesh. But the real challenge would be containinhg David Malan and Liam Livingstone if they get going. Mustafiz and Shakib would be right options against them. Bangladesh must consider today as their final of the tournament and go all out. England is not unbeatable side. Bangladesh must have self-belief.
