Quota reform demo will continue, says Nahid Islam

The coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Nahid Islam said that the quota reform movement will continue until the demand is realised.

Nahid made the pledge while addressing a post-protest press conference at Dhaka University on Tuesday evening.

At least five people including two students were killed during today's protest that erupted at all universities across the country.

Referring to the loss of lives, the student leader said, “It is a planned killing. Justice of the killing must be ensured.”

Alongside the five killings, a good number of general people and students sustained injuries in the clashes locked between the agitating students and Bangladesh Chhatra League-policemen.

Thousands of students of public and private universities across the country blocked highways, railways and busy thoroughfares by halting traffic movement in protest against the planned attacks on them.
