DHAKA: The result of Preliminary test of 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) will be published in this week, says Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

PSC chairman Ikram Ahmed told banglanews that they are trying their level best to publish results as soon as possible.

A PSC officer said the result may be published before the end of this week.

Earlier on January 8, the two-hour test was held at 162 centers in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet and Rangpur divisions with participation of more than two lakh job seekers.

Earlier, BPSC imposed ban on carrying all kinds of electronic devices including wristwatch, calculator, mobile phone sets in test.

The public service commission issued a circular on May 31 in 2015 for appointing a total of 2,180 first class gazetted-officers through written test, viva, and medical checkup.
