RMG official killed in Ctg road crash

CHITTAGONG: A readymade garments official was killed in an accident as pickets chased a vehicle in the port city on Monday.

The deceased was identified as M Zakir, son of Ali Hossain of Khulshi Dampara. He was a commercial manager of readymade garments of the city.

Sources said pickets chased a tempo at Bahaddarhat-Kalurghat road around 10:30am. Zakir was severely injured as the tempo overturned when it tried to save from the pickets.

He was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries in the noon.

CMCH police outpost Nayek Hamidur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
