Awami League (AL) nominated presidential candidate Mohammad Shahabuddin Chuppu today (Feb 12) paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister and AL President Sheikh Hasina.

PM's Assistant Press Secretary MM Emrul Kayas confirmed the matter to media.

He said Awami League nominated President candidate Mohammad Shahabuddin Chuppu paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at her official Ganabhaban residence here this morning.

On his arrival at the Ganabhaban, Mohammad Shahbuddin Chuppu was greeted with a flower bouquet by the Prime Minister and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's younger daughter and PM's younger sister Sheikh Rehana.

Earlier in the morning, the AL nominated former judge Mohammad Shahbuddin Chuppu as its candidate for 22nd presidential election.
