Two people were killed after a truck hit a parked truck in Kakdanga area in Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat on Monday (March 6) morning.

One of the deceased was identified as Emon Hasan, 21.

Mehdi Hasan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mollahat Highway Police Station confirmed the matter.

He said the helper of the parked sand-laden truck was changing a punctured tyre at the upazila's Chairman Bari Mor area. At that time a speeding fish-laden truck hit the parked truck from behind, leaving the two helpers of the trucks dead on the spot.

Being informed, police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent those to Bagerhat District Hospital morgue, the OC added.
