Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.

According to the bulletin, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the met forecast for the next 24 hours commencing 9am today.

Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 30.0 degrees Celsius at Khepupara while the minimum temperature today was recorded 17.1 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.

Highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 61 millimeters (mm) at Nikli.

The sun sets at 6:10 pm today and rises at 6:03 am tomorrow in the capital.
