Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan has condoled death of Convenor of Swadhin Bangla Kendrio Chhatra Sangram Parishad, former President of Chhatra League, close follower of Bangabandhu and key organiser of Liberation War Nur E Alam Siddique.

In a statement, Bashundhara Group Chairman prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

“On behalf of Bashundhara Group and me, I express profound shock at the demise of Nur E Alam Siddique and deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.  His politics, ideals and works will be a great source of inspiration to the new generation.  I pray for salvation of his departed soul,” said Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.

Nur E Alam Siddique passed away on Wednesday while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka. He was 82.
