A Dhaka court on Thursday issued an arrest warrant against two teachers of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in a case filed for instigating a student of the institution to commit suicide.

The two accused teachers are-- Naznin Ferdous and Jinat Akhter.

Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court-12 Judge Abdullah Al Mamun issued the order as the teachers did not appear in court on two scheduled days.

The teachers were chargesheeted on July 10, 2019.

Aritri, a student of the same institution, committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan of her Shantinagar residence on December 3, 2018.

Later, the Aritri's father Dilip Adhikari filed a case with Paltan Police Station the next day against two teachers on charge of instigating his daughter to commit suicide.
