Two persons, including a woman, were crushed under the wheels train at separate places in two upazilas of Joypurhat district on Thursday (March 30) morning.

Of the two deceased, one was identified as Durga Rani, a resident of Chitrapara area of the town.

According to police sources, a man died after being crushed by a Rajshahi-bound Barendra Express train in Bagzana area under Panchbibi upazila around 9 am.

Besides, Durga Rani was killed by the same train while she walking along the rail line in Teghor area.

Santahar Railway Police Station officer-in-charge Muktar Hossain confirmed the matters.
