Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted rain or thundershower accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind in some parts of the country for the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (April 3).
According to the met office bulletin, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
Day temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 33.4 degrees Celsius jointly at Jashore and Chuadanga while the minimum temperature was 16.1 degrees Celsius at tetulia.
Country's highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 37 millimeters (mm) at Chattogram.
