Jasmine Sultana died due to brain haemorrhage as per final autopsy report, said Professor Dr Kafil Uddin.
Her death was not due to torture in RAB's custody, but due to brain haemorrhage, said Associate Professor Kafil Uddin, head of forensic medicine department at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital disclosed the information today (April 3).
After receiving the autopsy report, the doctor told reporters that the haemorrhage occurred due to sudden increase of blood pressure and stress.
A three-member medical board headed by Kafil conducted the autopsy on Sultana's body on March 25.
The final report has been handed over to police yesterday afternoon, said Kafil.
Kafil Uddin said two marks of injury were found on her body, one on her left forehead and another on her right elbow.
The final opinion of the autopsy report also said that "the mentioned injury in the autopsy report was not sufficient to cause the death of the deceased," the doctor added.
