The fire that broke out at the Bangabazar on Tuesday (April 4) morning has been brought under control at 12:36pm.

According to information, total 48 units of fire service worked about 6 and a half hours tirelessly to bring the fire under control.

Rima Khanam, duty officer of the fire service control room confirmed the matter today.

Earlier, the fire broke out in Bangabazar at 6:10 am. Later, the fire spread to nearby four other markets.

The cause of fire and the extent of damages could not be ascertained immediately.
