A Natore court today (April 5) awarded death penalty to six people and life time imprisonment to four others for gangraping a college student in 2012.

The death row convicts are - Sabbir Ahmed, Rezaul alias Rabbi, Nazmul Haque, Rajibul Hasan, Ripon and Shahidul.

Besides, the lifers are Monirul Islam, Khairul Islam, Ataul Islam, and Rezaul Karim.

Natore Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Muhammad Abdur Rahim passed the verdict. 

The court also fined them Tk one lakh each which would be provided to the rape survivor.
