The Chamber Court of the Appellate Division today (April 9) suspended the High Court bail granted to Sohel Rana, the owner of the Rana Plaza building, in a murder case.

Justice Abu Zafor Siddique of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court passed order. 

Besides, a hearing is scheduled on May 8 in this regard.

Earlier on April 6, the High Court granted bail to Sohel Rana, which collapsed claiming at least 1,136 lives in April 24, 2013.

The Dhaka District and Sessions Judge's Court framed charges on July 18, 2016, against the 41 accused, including Sohel Rana, also a former Jubo League leader in Savar, in the case.
