Two Madrasa children drowned in a pond in Thakurgaon’s Ranisankail upazila on Tuesday (April 18).

The deceased is Md Siam, 10, son of Makbul Hossain, and Al Amin, 12, son of Muktar Hossain.

According to Siam's father, one of them fell into the pond while trying to pick up his shoe, while the other fell while trying to save him.

Ranisankail Police Station officer-in-charge Gulfamul Islam Mandal confirmed the matter.
