A man was allegedly stabbed to death by miscreants at sadar upazila in Bogura district on Wednesday (May 11) night.

The victim Abdur Razzak, 55, was a cattle trader, and a resident of Namuja Sahapara village of the upazila.

According to the victims son Atiqul Islam Shubho, his father Abdur Razzak went to Namuja Choumuhani Hat to sell cows. After selling the cow, he was returning home with Tk two and a half lakh. At that time, miscreants stabbed him with sharp knives after snatching the money and left his body near his house.

Bogura additional superintendent of police (Sadar Circle) Sharafat Islam confirmed the matter.

Legal steps are under process in the incident and the culprits will be arrested soon, the official added.
