Three motorcyclists were killed when a bus crashed them in Faridpur on Tuesday (May 16).

The accident happened on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at Ghopghat area of Bagat Union of Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur around 8 pm.

The deceased were identified as Hisain Sardar, 20, Nahid Biswas, 21, and Jobayer Biswas, 20. The three were friends and residents of Biswaspara Mohalla of Bagat Union.

Bagat Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Matiar Rahman Khan confirmed the matter.

He said there was a fallen tree in the. The three motorcyclists were moving from Kamarkhali to Bagat. Later, they collided with a tree and fell on the road.

Meanwhile, a Magura-bound bus crashed them. Leaving the three seriously injured, he said.

Local residents then rushed the three youths to Madhukhali Upazila Health Complex, where doctors on duty declared them dead, he added.
