DHAKA: A Madrasa teacher, another victim of 131-hour blockade violence, succumbed to his burn injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mawlana Abdus Sattar 70, hailed from Badarpur union of Patuakhali district.

Nephew of the deceased Rezaul Karim said that he sustained burn injuries when the blockaders torched auto bike carrying him by pouring petrol at Souravkathi in Pirojpur on November 30, the first day of the 18-party enforced blockade.

He died at the intensive care unit of the burn unit of DMCH around 9:45am after fighting with death for three days.
