Sujatha Singh due Wednesday

DHAKA: Foreign Secretary of India Sujatha Singh will arrive here Wednesday on a two-day long visit.

In her visit, she will meet with the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh M Shahidul Haque.

Sujatha will also pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Foreign Minister Abdul Hasan Mahmood Ali.

Besides, the Indian Foreign Secretary will meet with the leader of opposition and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Chairman of Jatiya Party General (retd.) Hussain Muhammad Ershad.
            
This will be Sujatha Singh’s first visit to Bangladesh after taking over office as Foreign Secretary on August 1, 2013.

Singh joined in the Indian Foreign Service in 1976. Prior to taking over as Foreign Secretary, she served as Ambassador of India to Germany and High Commissioner to Australia.
