Three people, including two sisters, were killed in a road accident at Sadar upazila of Bogura district on Tuesday (June 27) morning.

The accident took at around 6.45 am Arulia Mondalpara are of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Aminur Islam Tota, 30, son of late Abdul Zalil, a resident of Narhatta area, Asha Moni, 7, and her sister Khadiza, 3, both were daughters of Rashed Sheikh, residents of Bibirpukur area under Kahalu upazila of the district.

According to locals, a speeding fish-laden three-wheeler (nosimon) hit a battery-run autorickshaw from opposite direction, leaving the autorickshaw driver Aminur Islam Tota dead and four members of a family critically injured.

The injured were taken to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where Asha and Khadiza succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment.

Silimpur medical outpost Sub-Inspector Lalon Hossain confirmed the matter.
