Police recovered the body of a man from a pond beside his house in Kishoreganj district town on Sunday (July 9) morning.

The deceased was Badal Rahman, 62, district industry and commerce affairs secretary and former president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to information, Badal around 8pm went out for walk and did not return home. Later, inhabitants of Char Sholakia found a floating body on a pond water and informed police.

Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Dawood confirmed the matter.

He said, "We are investigating the matter. Badal's body was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital."
