A man was allegedly stabbed to death at Bidyut goli area in Jatrabari Wednesday (July 19).

The deceased was identified as Hasan Howlader, 32, worked at a workshop. He hailed from Patuakhali. He used to live in Dhaka's Sayedabaad area.

According to information, Hasan came under attack while he was returning home ending his duty at about 1am. The miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately and fled away.

Jatrabari Police Station SI Mostafizur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said critically injured Hasan was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he was declared dead on arrival.

Police suspect Hasan might have been killed over previous enmity, he said.

The exact cause behind the murder will be known after investigation and post-mortem report, the SI added.
