Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed its scheduled programme after failing to get permission to hold the rally in Dhaka on Tuesday (Aug 1).
The party will now hold a peaceful rally in Dhaka on Friday (Aug 4).
Nurul Islam Bulbul, ameer of Jamaat's Dhaka city south unit, made the announcement at a press conference in this regard today.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami announced to hold the rally to press home their demands for the restoration of a caretaker government, release of Jamaat amir Shafiqur Rahman and other leaders and workers, alems and ulemas, and rein in the price hike of essential commodities.
