National Identity Card (NID) services on Wednesday (August 16) have been halted due to server maintenance work.

According to the concerned authority, databases and websites related to NID services have been temporarily closed to avoid the risk of cyber-attacks.

Election Commission Additional Officer Ashok Kumar Debnath confirmed the matter.

A technical team is working in this regard. The server will be restored in a short time, he said.
