The Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) officials on Sunday (Sep 3) said they will operate 79 buses on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway.

BRTC chairman Md Tazul Islam confirmed the matter while talking to reporters.

He said, "We have decided to operate 79 buses on the elevated expressway initially. The fare will be charged based on the existing rates.” 

"Buses will run on various routes from Kawla to Farmgate via the expressway," he added.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Dhaka Elevated Expressway on Saturday at 3:30pm.
