Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places across the country in 24 hours commencing at 9 am today (September 11).
According to the Met office bulletin, Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Rangpur, Nilphamari, Jashore, Chuadanga, Barishal, Patuakhali and Bhola and it may abate from some places.
Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is also likely to occur at most places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 36.5 degrees Celsius at Rangpur and the minimum temperature today was recorded by 23.8 degrees Celsius at Bandarban.
The highest rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded by 132 mm at Kutubdia.
The sun sets at 6.07pm today while rises at 5.44am tomorrow in the capital.
