DHAKA: Veteran photo journalist of the Dainik Ittefaq Aftab Ahmed was found dead in his Rampura residence in the capital early Wednesday.  

Being informed, police recovered his body tied up his hands and legs.

Rampura thana officer-in-charge Kripasindhu Bala confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said that Crime Scene Unit of Criminal Investigation department of police is collecting clues of the murder in the spot.

DB police additional commissioner Maruf Hasan told journalists that he might have been strangulated to death as his body didn’t bear any injury mark.

Victim’s son-in-law Faruk Ahmed told banglanews that Aftab Ahmed, who owned the four-storey building, used to live alone in a flat of third floor. His only son Manwar lived in Jessore while daughter Afroza in Gazipur.

High officials of police visited the flat.
