The commercial train operation on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route started today (December 1).

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Railway has already fixed the schedules and fares on the route.

An intercity train will leave Cox’s Bazar at 12:30pm and reach Dhaka at 9:10pm, while another train will leave the capital at 10:30pm and reach Cox's Bazar at 7:20am.

Fares on Dhaka-Cox's Bazar route:

Including 10% non-stop charges, the fares for AC berth will be Tk1,892, AC seat will be Tk1,260, first class (night) Tk1,260, Snigdha Tk1,051, first class Tk842, and Shovon chair Tk550.

Fares on Chattogram-Cox's Bazar route:

The fares for AC berth will be Tk696, AC seat Tk466, first berth Tk466, Snigdha Tk386, first chair/seat Tk311, Shovon chair Tk205, Shovon class Tk170, Shulov class Tk105, commuter train Tk85, second class (express) Tk70, and second class Tk55.
