Urge for resolving political conflicts

DHAKA: The Bengali Business Association of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Tuesday called upon the political leaders of Bangladesh for restoring peace and stability to strengthen economy of Bangladesh and to build positive image in abroad.

Guest Speakers of the Gala Event for New Year 2014 Delwar Jahid, eminent journalist, human rights activist and president of Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta (BHESA) addressed the program.

Welcomed by Mohd Laskar and also spoken by Babu Shreepati Dey, among others, the organizers of the event Shabbir Ahmed, Kazi Aurangzeb, Bikash Talukder, Dr Sheikh Jalil were present.

The program was  held at The Bonnie Doon Hall of The Edmonton City in Alberta followed by a colorful cultural show with Solo Dance: Shoto Rupa Mukerjee, group dance participated by Saniya, Elena, Sohona, Ashna, recitation of poem by Mon Bhalo Nai and Dr Mamun Hasan, also Gaiter play him & Mahir Jarif and songs.

Delwar Jahid urged politicians of Bangladesh to resolve the conflicts in peaceful manner and ensure political stability for peace, progress and prosperity, as the image of Bangladesh has been tarnishing abroad.

The Business Community of Bangladesh of Edmonton city formed this association to represent them and the leaders called upon the organizations of Alberta to cooperate the association.

The members of BCAE, BHESA & other cultural organizations and music groups were present. Ex. president of Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton Dr. Mamum Hasan, Ex. president of Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta (BHESA) Shahid Hassan were also present.
