DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed claimed that the general election 2014 was held in a fair and peaceful manner in 97 percent polling centers of the country.

He came up with the disclosure in a press conference at his election commission office around 2:30am Monday.

Later, he left the office quickly without giving any reply to the queries of journalists.
