DHAKA: Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer professor Nazir Ahmed, 72, died on Tuesday night from a heart attack.

He breathed his last at capital’s Ibne Sina Hospital around 11:45pm.

Jamaat’s executive council member Nurul Islam Bulbul confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said after professor Nazir fell sick, family members admitted him to the hospital on December 27.  Later, he has been on life support since Saturday.
