Nat’l-Int’l trade to get priority

DHAKA: New commerce minister Tofail Ahmed Monday said the newly formed government would give a special priority to the national and international trades for the country’s sake.

He came up with the assertion after taking his office at secretariat in the morning.

Tofail Ahmed said, “My first priority is to work with businessmen keeping an amiable relationship. Besides, special importance would be given on national and foreign trades.”

He also slammed BNP for boycotting elections but praised for coming back on the right track of politics by avoiding blockade programme.

Earlier in the day, high ups of the ministry welcomed the new commerce minister around 10:30am.
