DHAKA: New Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam categorically said he would work to ensure food security for the countrymen.

He came up with the assertion while talking to journalists at his secretariat office on Monday.

The food minister said, “I will work to ensure food security in the country and that’s why I need assistance from all.”

Quamrul Islam also said the main challenge for the newly formed government is to ensure peace by curbing violence.
