Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially inaugurated the National Fisheries Week-2024 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital today (July 31) around 10:30am. 

22 individuals-institutions have been awarded National Fisheries Medals, 2024 - including 6 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze medals - in recognition of their significant contribution to the fisheries sector.

This year, the theme of the week is "Nirapad Machee Varbo Desh, Garbo Smart Bangladesh".

The National Fisheries Week-2024 will continue till August 5.
