DHAKA: The Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB), comprising members of the Honorary Consuls from different countries around the globe, on Sunday joined hands with the ‘JAAGO FOUNDATION’ a charitable organization is collecting blankets for the needy and destitute people in the northern region of Bangladesh.

The funds, donated by the members of the Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB) will be used for purchasing & distributing blankets amongst the needy peoples in Northern Bangladesh districts like Rangpur, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon & other winter stricken areas where there is severe cold wave causing severe distress amongst the poor and backward section of the society.

JAAGO FOUNDATION which carries out philanthropic activities for the needy people have come forward in rendering much appreciated assistance to the poorer section of the population.

The CCB Members have raised and contributed an amount of Tk 300,000 which was handed over to JAAGO FOUNDATION at a simple ceremony in the office of CCB.
