DHAKA: The 19-party alliance was not given permission yet to stage their pre-scheduled protest rally in the city on Saturday.

Dhaka city BNP Member Secretary Abdus Salam confirmed the matter to banglanews on Friday noon.

BNP declared to stage rally across the country in protest against making bar to hold black flag procession. On Thursday, mentioning three vanues, BNP sought permission to DMP to stage protest rally.

But Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) didn’t give permission yet BNP to hold protest rally, he added.
