JESSORE: A youth was chopped to death by miscreants in Chalishia village under Abhaynagar Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Selim Sheikh, 35, son of Barik Sheikh, hailed from Shankarpasha village of the upazila.

Local sources said that the victim came out of his home after receiving call form someone on Friday night and went missing.

Later, on Saturday morning, locals found his body lying on the ground beside a brick filed and informed police.

Abhaynagar Thana Officer-in-Charge Khabir Uddin Mollah confirmed the matter to banglanews.
