DHAKA: The month-long ‘Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2014’ is going to start on Saturday afternoon at Bangla Academy premises and Suhrawardy Udyan.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair at 3:00 pm and hand over Bangla Academy award-2013 to writers, researchers and educationists.

The inauguration ceremony will be aired at Bangladesh Television and Radio. Besides, private channels and country’s top online news media banglanews24.com also provide update news from the book fair.

Following the book fair president Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages.

The fair will remain open from 3:00pm to 9:00pm except holyday. And on holyday the fair will start at 11:00am.

With Bangla Academy Professor Amiratus Anisuzzaman in the chair, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor as a special guest will join in the inaugural ceremony.
