TANGAIL: A Tangail court on Wednesday placed Rasel Bin Sattar on a 10-day remand on charge of his involvement with the circulation of audiovisual tape of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Tangail Shahadat Hossain passed the remand order after he produced before the court.

Officer-in-Charge of Tangail Thana Najrul Islam told banglanews that they produced Rasel before the court with a 15-day remand plea in two cases each against him.

But the magistrate passed the 10-day remand order in a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act.
