The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed separate cases against former police chief Benazir Ahmed and NBR’s former senior official Matiur Rahman for their alleged involvement in amassing huge illegal wealth during the Awami League regime.

The wife of Matiur, ex-president of the National Board of Revenue's (NBR) Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal, has also been implicated in the case.
