The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted dry weather across the country for the next 24 hours starting from 9 am today (Dec 16).
"Weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," says a Met Office release.
The ridge of the sub-continental high extends to West Bengal and its adjoining areas, while the seasonal low lies over the South Bay with its associated trough stretching up to the North Bay. A low-pressure area is expected to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours.
Night and day temperatures are likely to rise slightly across the country. Additionally, light to moderate fog may occur in some areas during the late-night hours until morning.
On Sunday, the country's maximum temperature was recorded at 30.0 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda, while the minimum temperature today was 9.2 degrees Celsius in Srimangal.
In the capital, the sun will set at 5:15 pm today and rise at 6:35 am tomorrow.
