DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch of police unearthed the motive behind the killing of Swechhasebok League leader Rana.

Two suspects—Kamrun, 20, and Saddam, 20—were held from Shibchar upazila of Madaripur district early Monday for their alleged involvement in the killing.

DMP spokesperson (joint commissioner) Monirul Islam said as per direction of top criminal in Moghbazar area, criminals killed Rana to establish supremacy in cable operating business.

He was addressing a press conference at DMP media center around 11:30am.
