DHAKA: Nine individuals and an organization will get Swadhinata Award for their glorious and outstanding contribution in nation level to the greater interest of the county.    

Of the awardees, eight individuals will get the award in posthumous.

A press release from cabinet department made the disclosure on Sunday.                    

Former lawmaker M Abul Khayer, Munshi Kabir Uddin Ahmed, Shahid Kazi Azizul Islam, Lt Col M Abu Osman Chowdhury, Dr Khasruzzaman Chowdhury, Shahid SBM Mizanur Rahman, Dr Haris Ali and Professor M Quamruzzaman in posthumous.   

On the other hand, artist Qaiyum Chowdhury and Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) will get the award for their outstanding contribution.
