DHAKA: A minor housemaid committed suicide in west Malibagh area of Ramna of the capital early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Taslima, 10, daughter of Bakul, hailed from Dinajpur.

Sources said that Taslima and her sister Babi worked together at a house of West Malibagh area and they quarrel each other at night. And at one stage of the altercation, Taslima drinks poison.

Taslima was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 5:00am where duty doctor declared her dead.

DMCH outpost In-Charge Mozammel Haque said that police took away the householder and his wife to Ramna Thana for interrogation in this connection.
