Consular Corps gets new president, secy gen

DHAKA: Asif A Chowdhury was elected as president and Abul Hossain was reappointed as the Secretary General of the Consular Corps in Bangladesh (CCB).

A press release was issued in this connection.

It said: “The 6th annual general meeting (AGM) of CCB held at a local hotel of Gulshan in the city on March 1, 2014.

The AGM endorsed the decision by the executive committee of CCB formation of new EC committee headed by Asif A Chowdhury, Honorary Consul of Chile as the President and Abul Hossain, Honorary Consul of Uganda reappointed as the Secretary General for the next two years (2014-2015).”


It also said: “Immediate Past President: Hon. Mohammed Shajahan, Honorary Consul of Moldova, Vice Presidents: Hon. Kazi Shamsul Haque, Honorary Consul of Kyrgyz Republic, Hon. Nasreen Fatema Awal, Honorary Consul of Mongolia, Treasurer: Hon. Md. Amiruzzaman, Honorary Consul of Seychelles. Hon. Reshadur Rahman, Honorary Consul of Republic of Poland, Hon. Syed Kader Iqbal, Honorary Consul of Serbia, Hon. Mohammed Riyadh Ali, Honorary Consul of Korea in Ctg., Hon. K. M. MozibulHoque, Honorary Consul General of Yemen, Hon. Seemab Rasheed, Honorary Consul of Republic of Fiji –Executive Committee Members have been elected as the mentioned positions for the new committee of CCB (2014-2015).”
