Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, PSC, met with a delegation led by Lieutenant General Joel B. Vowell, Deputy Commander of the US Army Pacific Command, at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday (March 25).

During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the armed forces of Bangladesh and the United States.

Lieutenant General Vowell highly praised the Bangladesh Army's contribution to UN peacekeeping missions. 

He also commended the professionalism and ongoing activities of army personnel deployed in aid to civil power.

US Chargé d’Affaires in Bangladesh, Tracy Ann Jacobson, was also present at the meeting.
